Athletic Department
Saint Mary Athletics
Saint Mary High School believes that a dynamic program of athletic activities is vital to the development of students. The athletic program provides a variety of experiences to aid in the development of favorable habits and attitudes in students that will better prepare them for adult life. Athletics functions as an integral part of social progress. They offer the opportunities to serve the institution, to assist in the development of fellowship and goodwill, to promote self-realization and all-around growth, and to encourage learning the qualities of a Christian lifestyle and good citizenship.
Young people can learn a great deal from their participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition, and how to win and lose gracefully are an integral part of each team and athletic program. Athletic competition adds to our school spirit and helps all students and spectators to develop pride in our school.
