Praying with the Seniors
Today the seniors are praying for the seventh consecutive day for wisdom in making their college decisions. This is part of a nine-day novena, a popular devotion in the Catholic Church that demonstrates perseverance in prayer.
Each day in their theology class, the seniors are praying a decade of the rosary and reflecting on the possibilities of their future. It began on Monday, October 20 and will conclude on Friday, October 31.
As our seniors are confronted with the many choices that await them throughout this year, Saint Mary High School is encouraging them to ask God to help them discern the right path. As a Catholic institution, we are modeling to our students the importance and efficacy of prayer.
